PZR Piano Solutions LLC – Piano Care Policies

Thank you for booking with PZR Piano Solutions. These policies help ensure clear expectations for piano tuning, minor repairs & regulation, and piano cleaning appointments.

1. Services Offered

We currently offer:

  • Piano Tuning

  • Minor Repairs & Regulation

  • Piano Cleaning

All services are subject to piano condition, appointment availability, service area, and professional discretion.

2. In-Home Service Area

In-home piano care services are offered within up to 1 hour of Downtown Tacoma.

  • Requests outside this area may be considered case by case

  • Additional travel fees may apply

Service availability may also depend on access, scheduling capacity, and location suitability.

3. Deposit Requirement

A 25% deposit is required at booking for all piano service appointments, including:

  • Piano Tuning

  • Minor Repairs & Regulation

  • Piano Cleaning

Appointments are not fully reserved until the deposit is received.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a deposit refund

  • The deposit may also be applied to a rescheduled appointment when appropriate

  • Deposits are non-refundable within 24 hours of the appointment

Limited emergency exceptions may be considered at the sole discretion of PZR Piano Solutions.

5. Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due at the completion of the appointment unless otherwise arranged in advance.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Card

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Approved online payment methods

6. Pricing & Final Charges

Prices listed online or quoted before an appointment are estimates unless otherwise stated.

Final pricing may vary depending on:

  • the actual condition of the piano

  • the amount of time required

  • additional requested work

  • access or travel complications

  • the need for additional stabilization or corrective work

7. Pitch Raise / Significant Pitch Correction

If a piano has not been tuned regularly or is significantly below standard pitch, it may require a pitch raise or additional tuning-related work.

Please note:

  • This may involve an additional charge

  • Some pianos may require more than one visit to improve tuning stability

  • Final results depend on the piano’s age, condition, maintenance history, and structural stability

8. Scope of Minor Repairs & Regulation

Minor Repairs & Regulation appointments are for minor issues only and do not include:

  • major repairs

  • full regulation

  • restoration work

  • extensive rebuilding

  • advanced structural or action work

Additional work, if needed, will be discussed before proceeding.

If the piano requires work beyond the current scope of services offered, PZR Piano Solutions may recommend a different service path, limit the work performed, or decline the appointment.

9. Tuning Stability & Older Piano Disclaimer

Tuning results vary based on the condition of the instrument.

Because every piano is different, PZR Piano Solutions cannot guarantee:

  • long-term tuning stability after one visit

  • that an older or neglected piano will hold pitch like a regularly maintained instrument

  • that minor repairs will fully resolve deeper mechanical issues

Some pianos may require multiple visits or more extensive work than originally expected.

10. Cleaning Disclaimer

Piano cleaning is intended to improve cleanliness and presentation within the agreed scope of service.

Please note:

  • Cleaning is not a restoration service

  • Cosmetic wear, discoloration, oxidation, finish damage, or age-related issues may not be fully removable

  • Delicate finishes may require conservative handling

  • Internal cleaning may be limited by accessibility or instrument condition

11. Customer Responsibilities

Before your appointment, please make sure:

  • The piano is accessible and clear of obstacles

  • Pets are secured if needed

  • Parking or access instructions are shared in advance

  • Gate codes, apartment access, stairs/elevator details, or military base access requirements are disclosed before the appointment

  • The environment is safe and reasonably clean

Undisclosed access issues may result in additional charges or rescheduling.

12. Right to Refuse or Stop Service

PZR Piano Solutions reserves the right to refuse, stop, or reschedule service if:

  • conditions are unsafe or unsanitary

  • the instrument is inaccessible

  • the piano’s condition was materially misrepresented

  • the requested work exceeds the scope of service

  • the environment is disruptive or unsuitable for safe work

If an appointment cannot proceed due to unsafe, unsuitable, or materially misrepresented conditions, charges may still apply for reserved time, travel, or administrative loss.
