PZR Piano Solutions LLC – Piano Lesson Policies

Thank you for choosing PZR Piano Solutions for your piano studies. These policies help create a smooth, respectful, and consistent learning experience for all students.

1. Lesson Formats

We currently offer private piano lessons in the following formats:

  • Online (available anywhere)

  • In-Studio

  • In-Home

Lessons may be offered in English or Spanish, depending on availability.

2. Lesson Inquiries & Scheduling

Submitting a lesson inquiry form or booking request does not guarantee scheduling.

All lesson inquiries and appointments are subject to:

  • availability

  • location

  • instructor approval

PZR Piano Solutions reserves the right to decline or limit lesson requests based on schedule capacity, travel distance, lesson format, or other practical considerations.

3. In-Home Lesson Travel Area

In-home lessons are available within a maximum travel radius of up to 1 hour from Downtown Tacoma.

  • Requests outside this area may be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • Additional travel fees may apply

In-home lessons are also subject to availability, location approval, and instructor discretion.

4. Single Lesson Payment

Single lessons may be paid at booking or before the lesson start time, depending on the current booking setup.

Payment is required to reserve or maintain lesson time.

5. Single Lesson Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Lessons canceled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be refunded or rescheduled

  • Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged 50% of the lesson fee

  • No-shows will be charged the full lesson amount

Limited exceptions may be considered in true emergencies at the teacher’s discretion.

6. Monthly Subscriptions / Recurring Lesson Plans

For students enrolled in a monthly subscription or recurring lesson plan:

  • Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance

  • Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once processed

7. Subscription Lesson Cancellation, Rescheduling & Rollover

For lessons included in a monthly subscription:

  • Lessons canceled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or rolled over indefinitely based on availability

  • Lessons canceled within 24 hours, missed lessons, and no-shows are forfeited

  • Limited exceptions may be made for emergencies at the teacher’s discretion

Rollover lessons are subject to:

  • instructor availability

  • current lesson schedule openings

  • active student status

  • lesson format and location limitations

Rollover does not guarantee preferred dates or times.

8. Late Arrivals

If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time unless otherwise decided by the instructor.

Lost time due to late arrival is generally not guaranteed to be made up.

9. Online Lesson Expectations

For online lessons, students are responsible for having:

  • a stable internet connection

  • a working device with camera and audio

  • access to their instrument before the lesson begins

  • a quiet and workable learning environment

Technical issues on the student’s side may affect lesson quality and may not always qualify for a refund or make-up time.

10. In-Home Lesson Expectations

For in-home lessons, the student or family must provide:

  • a safe and accessible teaching environment

  • a playable piano or keyboard

  • reasonable conditions for focused instruction

PZR Piano Solutions reserves the right to refuse or discontinue in-home lessons if the environment is unsafe, inaccessible, disruptive, or otherwise unsuitable.

11. Practice & Progress

Each student progresses at a different pace. Progress depends on:

  • consistent practice

  • lesson attendance

  • preparation

  • focus and motivation

  • following assigned material

PZR Piano Solutions provides structured instruction and guidance but cannot guarantee a specific rate of progress or performance outcome.

12. Parent / Guardian Responsibility for Minors

For students under 18:

  • A parent or legal guardian must approve these policies

  • The parent/guardian is financially responsible for all lesson charges

  • The parent/guardian is responsible for timely pickup (for in-studio lessons) and general communication
